Internodal is an interdisciplinary design and creative technology studio situated in The Hague, founded by Nikzad Arabshahi. With an interdisciplinary approach, we integrate diverse expertise to foster innovation and deliver exceptional design solutions for the creative industry.

Our primary area of expertise revolves around designing and developing adaptable and scalable interactive experiences, immersive audio/visual/light installations, and employing innovative creative technology solutions to drive digital transformation within the realms of theater and performative art.

Philosophy

 

At Internodal, our philosophy revolves around adopting a research-oriented approach for every project. We deeply analyze the specific needs of our clients and explore the potential for developing a tailored platform that delivers practical, innovative, and unique design solutions.

We specialize in constructing and controlling complex systems using procedural design and computational methodologies. We develop and program our tools and software for each project to meet unique requirements. Our clients are equipped with tailor-made user interfaces to manage and monitor outcomes effectively. Additionally, we offer real-time pre-visualization capabilities for each project, enabling clients to explore various staging, art direction, and technical options, leading to optimal results without incurring actual production costs.

NIKZAD ARABSHAHI

FOUNDER

Nikzad Arabshahi is a Den Haag (NL)-based interdisciplinary artist, educated ArtScience at Koninklijke Academie van Beeldende Kunsten (Royal Academy of Art, The Hague, The Netherlands).
He has been actively working in the fields of fine art, generative art, and interdisciplinary art since 2003.

Nikzad concentrates on creating and developing immersive multimedia environments, visual installation, and audiovisual performances by designing custom-made tools and generating visuals based on algorithms and creative coding.

Nikzad collaborates with creative professionals in the fields of creative industries, architecture, urban lighting, festival organization, performing arts, and theater shows to grasp a deeper understanding of interdisciplinary arts.
